Nikki Holland was raised in the heart of entertainment, Las Vegas, NV. In her travels around the country, and overseas on a civilian mission, she picked up songwriting. She began performing in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, and recorded her first EP at Beach Road Records in Hampton, VA with her band, 3 Kates and a Joe. Nikki performed regularly as a solo act singer/songwriter across southeastern Virginia, and recorded at Cellar Dweller Studio in Chesapeake, VA before moving to New Mexico.

Long in support of charitable causes, Nikki teamed up with a national anti-drunk driving initiative in Albuquerque, NM. She is also a supporter of the LGBT causes and of the foster/adoption cause for children. Since moving to the Detroit area of Michigan, she joined BMI, recorded and released her first professional full-length CD, "Hold On" (available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.) and completed a collaborative project about mentoring and fostering kids in need of care, with members of long-standing Irish band, Blackthorn, and rapper Siv.

While her first CD allowed her to dance around the genres with collaborations, including her own brother on one of the tracks, Nikki has taken a definitive focus on her music styling in the process of recording her second CD.  She has assembled talented musicians from several genres into her project, with experiences spanning Blues/Jazz, Punk, Country, Afro-Cuban/Latin, and Classic Rock. Her songs resonate with a large audience because they share that common thread of struggling with the expectations of life and love, and because she's found that way to break out as "uniquely Nikki" and uniquely Americana.
